The degree in Sport Science wants to provide to its own students the competence related to comprehension, planning, management of the motor activities in an educational, adaptive and sporty way by getting them to development, maintenance and recovery of the motor skills and psico-physical wellness.

The Laboratory has been founded in 2001 by the University of Udine inside the Degree of Sport Science in Gemona. It is a scientific research laboratory aimed to support the didactic activities of the Bachelor and Master of Sport Science.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR OUR RESEARCH GROUP
- The training of professionals that work in the sport sector and distinguish themselves by their scientific and practical knowledge of the sport.
- Support the training of young researchers that wish to enter in the various fields of physical education, in view of obtaining the Ph.D.
- Give proper instructions to all those who intend to start a sport as a professional or a sport as an amateur.
- Evaluate and prepare amateur and professional athletes in order to achieve the best results, not only from the competitive point of view, but also in order to protect and improve their state of health and physical efficiency
- Study the fundamental mechanism of the human movement in a normal or a pathological situations, as a method of evaluation of the abilities or disabilities. 
All this aims to spread the scientific culture of the sport in order to have more rational approach to sport activities.
